The course is a journey through Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of the Florentine Renaissance.

The course includes the following topics:

  • The birth of Renaissance Sculpture and Architecture: Donatello, Brunelleschi and Alberti

  • The Renaissance out of Florence: from Antonello da Messina to Andrea Mantegna
  • Teachers of the Masters: Verrocchio, Ghirlandaio and Perugino
  • Leonardo Da Vinci: the Universal Genius
  • Michelangelo: The Agony and the Ecstasy
  • Raphael: The Art of Divine Grace
  • Titian and Giorgione: Pioneers of Color and Light
  • Mannerism, the Art of Transition: Pontormo and Rosso Fiorentino
  • The end of Mannerist, from Renaissance to Baroque: Parmigianino and Giulio Romano
  • The rise of Baroque, light and shadow: Carracci and Caravaggio
