During the course students will be introduced to the use of materials for the creation of the fresco mural painting, according to the medieval and renaissance rules.
During the course the students will learn to do a sketch using drawing basics and develop new Fresco Painting techniques like the Great Masters of Fresco.
The knowledge acquired will be put in use through the design and execution of one or more Fresco paintings.

THEORETICAL PART
• History of Fresco painting
• Phases of the technique (from prehistory to the present day)
PRACTICAL PART
• Base preparation
• Copy of the sketch on the base
• Time distribution: “le giornate”
• Color preparation
• Fresco: “Buonfresco” technique according to Giotto and a
• comparison to the preceding methods.
